Jacobs, in conjunction with NW  Natural and Steelcreek Homes, has been awarded the Energy Solutions Center’s Partnership Award for innovative Energy Solutions for the installation of the freewatt® Residential CHP system in the 2011 Street of Dreams Show home 'Cascade Splender' at Brentwood Estates, Tigard, OR.

The Partnership Award is an honor reserved for those energy users that have worked with their energy utility system to

implement an innovative, energy-efficient technology or solution. The team accepted the award at the spotlight luncheon of the Center’s Technology and Market Assessment Forum held at the Hilton Portland Executive Tower on June 16, 2011.

The Energy Solutions Center is a non-profit organization of energy utilities and equipment manufacturers focused on the introduction of new energy solutions to residential, commercial, and industrial users. The Center demonstrates new energy efficient technologies at customer locations throughout the country, and produces a wide array of education and technical materials to help promote the utilization of new energy equipment. The Center also publishes Gas Technology and Energy Solutions for Commercial Buildings magazines which are received by more than 60,000 plant managers and building owners, and highlight new gas technologies available to industrial and commercial energy users. 

The 2011 Street of Dreams homes will open to the public beginning August 6 through August 28.
